BBQ Turkey Meatloaf.

Turkey mince is high in protein and low in fat. It’s very versatile and can be used in all types of mince recipes. The flavour of the meat is subtle and takes on flavours very well. I love the combination of BBQ sauce and bacon and you can use this mix to make meat muffins, meatballs or meatloaf. Meatloaf is so easy to make and the kids love it. When cooled it slices and freezes really well and I always have some frozen slices on hand to quickly reheat with eggs for breakfast or to serve with salad for lunch. Enjoy!!!



  • 500g of turkey mince
  • 6 rindless short cuts or 3 full rashers of bacon finely diced 
  • 1/4 cup almond meal
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 bunch continental parsley finely diced
  • 3 tbsp bbq sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 tsp dried mixed herbs
  • 1 tsp salt 
  • 1 tbsp dried onion pieces

  1. Pre-heat an oven to 170c. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl until well combined.  
  2. Add the mix to a baking dish flattening it out into a loaf shape. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. With a thermometer check the internal temperature has risen above 80c. Cool slightly before slicing.
